First,
the story: FBO
Productions is the name given to the projects done
by the group consisting of me,my husband and our four
best friends,whom we collectively
call The Five Big Ones.Occasionally we travel in a pack of six or sometime even
eight,in which case we become The Five Big Ones Plus Two,or The Five
Big Ones Plus Three. All are creative individuals, each with special talents.
Getting
back tot the origin of "FBO",we
are called The Five Big Ones because we are not petite, and
because of a seating arrangement at a ride at Disney
World. When we were about to board the ride, the employee
asked,"How many in your party". Tired of always being squashed all in the same car,one of us
exclaimed, "Five Big Ones!" .
We were then appropriately separated into two rows, and the name stuck.
We celebrated the birth of our new group identity by
making our mascots a herd of elephants, and then designing
matching T-shirts for future Disney trips. So far, the shirts
have been a hit with the park's cast members.
"Turnerween"
is our funny little name for a project we volunteer for every year
at Turner Studios, where some of us are employed. The
event is
called "Trick or Treat on Turner Street",
or TOTOTS, for short, and it's a big Halloween haunted-hallway sort of thing that
winds through the corridors of the studios. There
is also a carnival, and trick-or-treating, and Turner
employees can bring their kids for a safe and exciting
Halloween experience. It's a lot
of fun, and my friends truly shine in their various
talents of costuming, makeup, set design, graphics and
acting!
